Vanessa has had Cherokee for about 2 months. (the horse she use to be on for therapy riding, and then eventually horse riding lessons).
Vanessa doesn't really like to be hugged or touched because of her sensory processing disorder. Being around horses has helped her immensely. She loves this horse, and they have a special bond I can't describe. She smiles from ear to ear whenever she is riding.
For the last 3 weeks she hasn't been able to ride him, since he had been limping / sore due to an abscess in his hoof/foot. He's still been getting love and attention though. The vet and ferrier have been checking on him, and hopefully he's on the mend. I know this girl can't wait to get back in the saddle (again). :)
