The gardens were designed and built I the Victorian era outside a small village I west Cumbria on a rocky area. It became a little neglected a few years ago and has been tidied and repaired and is looking rather special again. I imaging the couples, with ladies I their long dresses striding or strolling up to this hidden cultivated area in a wild Lakeland outcrop.
