Photos from my friends who live in Lincolnshire. Their streets and gardens were badly flooded by the heavy rainfall brought in by Storm Babet. Thankfully the flood waters didn't get into their house, although other nearby residents weren't so lucky. And all because of a faulty sensor on some flood gates that didn't register the rising water level and open the gates, which would have allowed the water to drain on to local farmland.

Oh dear. I hope they were insured. Here in Australia we go from one extreme to another. We have floods and then bushfires. Always a disaster of some sort going on.
