A good read, but a tough read. Recommended by both my sisters, the story is set in my home town and follows a man in his mid-50s with mental health issues embarking on a foot journey along the Suffolk-Norfolk coast, with his aging and increasingly weary dog, in an effort to come to terms with dark times in his past. A little too close to home (literally) for me at times, but, off-set with frank insight, poignancy and humour as it was, I did find it kind of enjoyable.
