One of Nature's Oddities!

Went for a walk a few days ago and saw this.I think it's part of a seed head from a flower.It looks more like a tangle of wire wool!
That's such a pretty shot!
Was it on a climbing/rambling plant? It looks rather like a Clematis seedhead.

@dulciknit Yes,it was climbing around another plant.I think it was a wild flower as it was growing in a forest near some catkins.

It's almost certainly a Clematis seedhead, aka Old Man's Beard.
