Baba portrait of stranger #41

Baba was trying to sell drums, with little success. He's from Senegal and lives in Sicily, wouldn't tell me where. But he's a sweet young fellow and has incredibly light blue eyes.

Nice portrait. I like the lighting and the direct look. You couldn't have taken this without having establishing a rapport with him. Sometimes that is the most difficult part of a portrait.

@cm_saratoga Thank you for your comment. Indeed we spent some time talking and interacting. when I left he said, promise that you'll come back. I promised but then I didn't have hhe time to go back.

Fabulous portrait. That blue is an illness of the iris, isn't it?

@domenicododaro Not always Domenico. The two main diseases of the iris are Waardenburg Syndrome which is usually associated with hearing problems, or ocular albinism, causing abnormal ocular movements. My stranger didn't have either, so it is likely that he had a genetic mutation or had an European ancestor.
