Dream of the River

Public art on display at London’s Landing near Steveston. It consists of the ribs of a fishing boat protruding from the vertebrae of a salmon and represents the fishing industry, particularly the salmon fishing industry, that has been and still is a major contributor to the local economy.
Fabulous capture of this unusual construction, it looks huge. Pity about the fishing industry though.

Initially thinking Viking influence when I first saw this, when I saw that it was your photo and remembering where you live, I quickly changed to Indigenous People influence. I like the silhouetted ribs and the circles below.
