Outboards R Us

One of the unique stilt homes in Finn Slough. Not sure why the owner has collected so many outboard motors. I guess each one has a story.

We used to collect numberplates of previously owned cars and motorbikes as a memento......perhaps this guy collects his previous boat motors! Lovely texture to the shot

@ludwigsdiana It does indeed. Finn Slough is a tiny village founded on a tidal slough in the late 1800’s by Finnish fishermen. There are still a couple of descendants of the founders still living there but it has become more of an artist’s community now. There are a couple of float homes but the rest are on stilts. It is an amazing spot to photograph and I have taken many there over the years. One does have to be careful to respect the privacy of the residents.
