Eta Aftermath by chejja

Eta Aftermath

We live on a cul-de-sac. We only have a few puddles in front of our house, as our end of the street is a little higher. Today, I walked down to the end of our street for the first time since the storm. This is the sight that met my eyes. That end of the street is completely flooded. The mailbox is on the end of the grass separating the street from the sidewalk. Everything beyond the grass and mailbox is road. We are staying home and not driving anywhere unless absolutely necessary because a lot of the roads are flooded like this.
wow, that's terrible!

Love the ripples in the water but not the reason. Good to know that you are safe and dry.

My sister lives in Pemboke Pines on a lake and her street and yard are flooded too from Eta... yesterday my niece kayaked over from their house a mile away. Your shot really paints a picture of what happened when all that rain was dumped at one time.

I like all the ripples in the water and the way they reflected the light and various colors. I'm glad to hear that you are safe.

Glad to hear it's receding - like the way your shot tells about Eta.

Oh, that looks so very similar as the front of my house. Our street is flooded terribly. Day 2 and the water has not done down yet....
Glad you are safe and dry :)
