My husband's grandfather, that he never knew, was a shoe maker, long time ago, somewhere in 1930-is. There is also a photo of him, his wife and aprentice in front of the shop. And I am positive, this very same stool is inside the shop...
Today, we use this stool just as decoration.
Love this still life, especially the old stool with marvellous texture and worn look. It's lovely to have it and know that it was used so far back by your family.
