"Salute to the Sun" is an urban art installation in Zadar, Croatia. It is basically a huge circle of solar plates, positioned in front of sunset view at the coast, in a city center. It reflects sky, throughout the day, which of course has its peak at sunset. Many people come to see that, and salute the sun!
But when the sun dives to the sea, and goes to sleep, the energy of sun plays a fun lightshow on this big plate through entire night.. And so much fun that is...
This is one of my favorite places in the world (from what I have seen), and every year I go there to get my dose...
It was installed in 2008, architect Nikola Basic.
Near by is another even more unique art installation: Sea Organ, played by sea and Waves, but I will present that some other time because yesterday was crowded, and I couldn't take a good photo...
What a great shot. At first I thought all the humans were actually part of the installation. But it seems like a ritual that's done in Key West Florida. Everyone gathers to watch the sun set.
@anazad511, Thank you, I am glad you like it! I am happy that our summer house is just half an hour away from Zadar so I come here every year, at least once!
