Autumn brings out memories...
I grew up in this park, and so did my father... When he was a kid, before, 2nd world war this park was named after one of Croatian kings... Then while living in Yugoslavia under comunism the park was named after Lenin, (Croatian history stoped existing at that period) and now again, as we have Croatia the park is King's again... This reminded me of a period in early 90's as we got our independence, when we were returning old names to our streets and squares. In this part of city where I grew up everything changed. My father was thrilled- he again lived in his old childhood neighborhood- others didn't know where they were for a while. It was funny when people would stop you on the street asking for the old street name- only locals knew directions, and there was no google maps or GPS... And as my parents used to call streets by their old name from before 2nd war, today we are doing the same thing by calling some of the streets by their name from our childhood.
So don't ever change the names of the streets...
