of my little girl that turned 14 years just today, few hours ago...
So I wish her happy birthday, with this lovely little pansy- the only survivor of hard winter in my garden.
I am very happy because I was able to spend some time in my garden, yesterday and today. Weather is changing for better, and it was so nice to spend some time picking up dried and dead plant pieces, cleaning up a bit, getting garden ready for new blooms... And I found a lucky survivor...This little pansy woke up after months of cold days and frost. I have also discovered few buds of violets, and some other signs of new life...
I had another idea for today's photo, which I will post tomorrow, but I was eager to share my garden's discoveries, so I made an congratulation card for my kid, because it had to be heart!
Isn't it wonderful when you find signs of life in the garden after the winter? I found a pansy flowering in my garden this week too, it really cheered me up! This is a lovely colour, hope your daughter enjoys her birthday.
A pretty background for the purple pansy. We plant pansies here in the fall to enjoy them until it gets really cold and then again in the spring before it gets too hot for them.
@randystreat, same here, this flower didn't even die through winter, I like to plant another sort, in spring that blooms whole summer to late autumn, so i always have some in my darden. Thank you for comment
