We went to visit a cave. A real speleo adventure in an intact cave. We had a guide of course, but the cave is small enough in its parts that we had to crawl, slide, bend, do all kinds of yoga things (I miss words) to get to a bigger halls through narrow passes. They don't have any handles, or fences, or concrete floors. It is very slippery in parts but so doable that older kids are allowed in there. A great experience. I will certainly post more about it...
the stalactites look like huge wisdom teeth. The caves would have been all the more exciting if you had to crawl through tight spaces and find your own footings. Proper exploring !
