Our town has a moorish castle. Every year at this time on Friday evening the moors arrive in boats , creep up the beach and capture said castle. On Saturday evening there is a battle and the Christians win it back! ( same result every year but we still watch!)
It must be tempting for someone to fix the battle to go the other way, but I guess that would not be playing ball. I bet there is quite a carnival atmosphere.
