We called them loquats in S. Africa. Here in Spain they call them Nisperos . Either way, I planted a pip a few years ago and.....

They are fruiting nicely I have 3 trees here in Queensland Lots of flowers at the moment

My dad had a loquat tree in our back yard growing up...my sister & I ate them straight from the tree.
