2021-04-28 Sprint to the Hunt

This chap / chapess showed up right as I was about to head back from the river. I spent quite a long time watching him / her gather up some fishies for his / her lunch.
Beautiful action photo

I love the angle, the textures in the water vs the sand, and all that. I hope you share other photos . . .

@jyokota I put some more up of him at my blog - https://cityhillsandsea.com/2021-04-28-heron-addict/

@cityhillsandsea thanks for the lead -- I loved seeing all the range of photos you posted. And that it was along Tamagawa! My mother lived for 35 years next to Tamagawa -- but far away in Mitaka. Your title on your blog, as always, made me smile.

@jyokota Mitaka?! Haha! My last Musashi station was Musashinodai. I was at Chofu airport just over a week ago!

@cityhillsandsea Chofu has an airport?? My mother's home (where I also lived a short while) was in Mitaka next to ICU but Musashi-Sakai was the closest Chuo-sen train stop. I feel sure you photographed it.

@jyokota Chofu has a very small airport and a couple of concrete air hangars left over from world war II. It's a bit of a walk from Musashinodai but I was in the area... As for Musashi-Sakai - yes! I was there a few weeks ago. Seemed like a nice enough place to live.

@cityhillsandsea I wonder what themes you will choose to photograph now "back home" -- bus stops with the name xxx in them?
May 11th, 2021
@jyokota GAWD no, not bus stops... *shudder* Someone jokingly suggested I add in bus stops with Fuji in them in Japan... there's.... a lot...

I don't know yet - I'm sure I'll have my curiosity piqued at some point. But I have the Musashi stations, Enoden stations, Daishi line stations & Shonan Monorail stations to see me through to the end of the year, so there's no rush!
