You should always have a little bokeh...

with your Leaf-footed Bug.

These aren't the cutest insects, but I like their anntennae. :0)

Thank you so much for your comments and faves on my recent pics!!! I have a non-bug pic that I'm going to post in my other album. http://365project.org/cjwhite/my-little-world/2011-09-29 :0)
I think they are pretty cool looking!

September 30th, 2011
i have seen these, but not like this!
September 30th, 2011
@hollandcrew The cool thing about shooting them is they stay still. LOL!
September 30th, 2011
wow that's wild - nice capture!
September 30th, 2011
But of course. Wonderful focus.
September 30th, 2011
I call these "pirate bugs" as they seem so yo ho ho.
September 30th, 2011
This is the genus Leptoglossus, possibly the species fulvicornis
September 30th, 2011
@robv I believe it's acanthocephala terminalis, family coreidae. Does that sound correct?
September 30th, 2011
What a great shot, and a great bug too.
September 30th, 2011
Cute bug! Love the composition
September 30th, 2011
@cjwhite Could be, I don't have a good sense of scale. That species is huge(~2"), the one I mentioned is about half the size. Now that I look at the full size image the markings do look more like Acanthocephela, just shows I shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Bokeh with ANYTHING! Haha You are going to post a NBP? (non bug pic?) Wow, that is amazing! Have to go see that. What percentage of your albums would you say are non bug pics?
September 30th, 2011
nice capture and lighting...loving the bokeh as well
September 30th, 2011
@espyetta I started in January, so the first couple of months there are lots of cat pics. LOL! I got the "bug fever" as soon as the flowers started blooming and the insects came out. :0)
September 30th, 2011
@cjwhite It is going to be weird to have no bugs here soon.
