Gray Hairstreak by cjwhite

Gray Hairstreak

The Gray Hairstreak is one of the Gossamer-wing butterflies. The allium is a popular plant right now. I have fewer wildflowers at the moment. The hayfield has been cut.

Thank you for your kind comments on yesterday's dragonfly pic! I saw a different one today, but it was in thick brush and I couldn't bring myself to walk into it. :0)

I have another butterfly pic for my extra album. I had a hard time deciding today. If you have a minute, here's the link.

@webfoot Thank you, Paul! The hayfield belongs to me, but I let one of my neighbors cut the hay for his goats and horses. He gets hay and I get a clean field. The neighbor's field that connects to my place has been plowed and sown with millet. We finally got a little rain tonight, so maybe the wildflowers will come back quickly. :0)
