I know I often say it but it is really better enlarged !
I still obsessed by my last holidays in Australia, I can stop thinking where we were , what we were doing just few weeks ago....
Lovely capture, despite living in Australia for over twenty years I never got to see Uluru - I must go back as a tourist, you see much more that way!!! Great photo!
@judithdeacon so true Judith, I've lived in Paris during 3-4 years but really dont know it at all... Uluru has been the highlight of my journey in Australia....the site is magical, colors and light were breathtaking....if you go there try the "sails in the desert" hotel....we were there...an oasis in the desert...
@abhijit If I had just an advice to give....don't go during summer... 47-48 degrees in the red outback was... really HOT ! But the colors were so beautiful..don't know if during spring time the colors are the same ...
@seanoneill as a castle ;) !!! thanks a lot for the fav, so hard to chose among the 100 shots I took during few hours....as the sun is rising the light changes on Uluru, the shadows are dancing....it is a fab show !
Just stunning Corine. Fav
I was there in winter, and the colours were just as amazing. Early morning and evening it was freezing cold, but beautiful temperature during the day.
@sanfil merci Sandra :) @onie thansk a lot for the fav Leonie, for us it was really too hot during the day we had to stop walking around at 11am...temperatures reached 47 degrees...and no more water.... but as you said sunsets and sunrises are stunning !
You are right to tell people to enlarge. This is such a stunning shot, this is on my to do list whilst I am living in Australia, I was hoping to go last winter, that's the Australian winter" but went south instead. I am told that the colour changes continually. This winter I am hoping to go to England so it will probably be 2014. An instant fav.
I think you've captured the mysticism and magic of Uluru perfectly. Fav for me - and on my bucket list to visit and photograph. Maybe this year - it's not THAT far from Brisbane!
