@tristansmum Basel is known for its museum and fairs ( like Art Basel), as the town didn't have some nice to propose ( seaside, lakes, mountains....) they artificially "created" an interest to the town buy building fantastic museums, more than 20, by very famous architects...so we have got historical museum, museum of toys, museum of music instrument, museum of paper.....
