I was just told that my friend Emma passed away Sunday. I am so thankful I was able to go visit her a few months ago.
Emma was like a Mom to me after my own mother passed away. I loved how she gave advice even when I didn't need or want it. She brought fruits and vegetables to me every week for 20 years because she thought I didn't eat right.
When she needed help she wouldn't ask but she knew by mentioning things to me that I would do it for her. I think we both knew each other so well. I will miss her with all my heart. She was loved by me.

Oh Mary Jo...how sad. But be thankful for having had her in your life. (I think we seem to have much in common...tomorrow is the funeral of one of my best friends. She too died Sunday. I will miss her, even though we only saw each other occasionally during these last few years. RIP Shirley.)
