Today I spent several hours taking photo's for Barbs house to go on the market.
Update on my friend being scammed.
I had written several letters after several phone calls asking for someone to help Jean. Apparently the letter to the Sheriff was the one that counted.
He told me that he was forwarding my letter to several agencies as well as the police dept in Lynden.
An Officer then called me and I gave her the info I had. Apparently she had gone to Jeans house 6 months ago talking to her about the last guy that scammed her. She said she refused to believe it was a scam. The Officer and I have had several calls as well as Text messages keeping each other informed. She had found out that Jean went to the bank and withdrew approx. 300-350 thousand dollars from the bank today. Her guy was sending his friend to fly into Bellingham and she was going to meet him at the airport and then they would drive to California together to meet her Romeo.
I sat outside the airport watching the door, looking for her or some guy coming out. I took pictures of some of the people but after 2 planes had landed and no Jean , I left.
Later that evening she text me to say he didn't make it here today but will by tomorrow morning. My guess is he won't come and somehow they will need money and she will send it and keep waiting for him to show up.
My heart breaks for her but I can't think of anything more I can do to help
