"Put on 2, no 3 pairs of socks, and your wellies. We are going for a walk!"
Words of advice I gave my daughter before we set off.
I know my daughter well. Our destination included water!
We went down to Studley, to walk by the river.
Not content with splashing through the icy puddles, my daughter also goes paddling in the River Arrow. Any easily accessible 'beach' and she is down there!
Here she is climbing up this steeper section of bank, having decided against the slightly longer, but easier, route which we suggested.
"It's OK! " She announces 'I've got grips!"
Her faith in her wellies is both absolute and resolute!
She soon discovers that it is more difficult than she anticipated, and she is struggling as she nears the top. With incredible optimism she pins her hopes on a clump of grass, which is just within her reach.
However it isn't the grass that lets her down, but her feet as just as she is nearly there, she slips!

but she puts down a hand, steadies herself and successfully climbs the bank and is triumphant in her success.
There are times when I wish my faith and resolve were as strong as hers :)
