...that when this road sign was being drawn, someone's arm got bodged.
The reason for my theory - it doesn't bear much relation to what the road actually does, as you go round a noticeable bend, not a minor wiggle, before reaching the roundabout!
I took the photo, because I was amused by the sign, before I realised that it was not quite accurate.
My friend calls it the 'tadpole junction' - maybe there is a pond nearby...
