Exploring Eskdale

The weather was rain. 70% chance of rain. After debating the relative merits and demerit of Millom and Cockermouth, the Ravenglass to Eskdale Steam Railway won!
"What would you recommend?" we asked the ticket seller
"What are you interested in? he replied.
"Pubs!" declared I.
"You don't really drink!" protested one of my companions
"No, but I can get a good cup of coffee!"
Coffee was rather on my mind, as the power had gone off this morning...
We were guided to the end of the line where we could discover a waterfall, a church and a pub.
We discovered both the church and the waterfall, this was taken on route to the waterfalls.
We ran out of time for the pub and settled for toast from the station cafe. We chose not to wait for the last train and we were rewarded with a setting sun, streaming through curtains of rain, and a double rainbow.

I took this photo just after one of the sudden sharp squalls of rain which have been a feature of this holiday. The sun was streaming though the raindrops and the world was an even more beautiful place than this photo would indicate.
