Third week of the "Selfie" series, as in "Improving my Selfie". He only preached part of the service dressed to the hilt as a Broncos fan.
I wasn't feeling great yesterday afternoon, but was scheduled to photograph the service. It took about 90 seconds for my mood to change! What an awesome service. The sermon was about baptism and, at the end, they called people to be baptized right after the service. I think about 100 people came to the front (we don't often have an altar call). What an empowering sight. I stayed for the baptisms and got some emotional shots.
This morning, we learned that the pastor's father passed away during the night. He will be missed.
Fun...we had a padre who would dress up...various costumes...I thought it bold at the time as this was a military padre at a military church, but his messages were always enlightening and often empowering.
