From all the photos you posted I can imagine you'd miss it. It all just looked amazing. I have to laugh about the humidity complaints. I loved it when I spent a summer in San Diego and they were complaining when it got up to the low 80's and of course no humidity. Meanwhile it was mid-high 90's here and 90% humidity. Have a safe trip back home.
