Hide and Seek by danette

Hide and Seek

We had to hunt through the gardens to find all the Chihuly sculptures. We sure admired how they were one with the landscape.
Beautiful colors :)

Wonderful detail Danette! I am not sure what I am seeing in this scene! Some of those leaves look huge and the new growth on the right and in the back looks quite tall. Are they or is this a close up of a small stream making everything look bigger than it really is?

i would like to see one of these shows in person someday, seen many incredible pictures like yours.

@chard runs through May. Come on down! :-)

@skipt07 you are seeing this through northern eyes! The trees in the back are tall. The leaves on the right are large (2' or so). The stream is not real wide. I am sure it was man made. The black/gray cylinders are glass sculptures by the artist Dale Chihuly. I posted more photos prior to Sunday (the Oh Happy Day photo).

Your caption fits the photo perfectly. The forest seems like a magical place, hiding the glass sculptures inside. It looks like a wonderful experience!

Fantastic one. I didn't see this one, since I am not able to hunt into the woods.

"At one with..." certainly underscores this image! How beautiful! I love the post processing...it's suited perfectly to enhance and separate the images to show it all clearly!

@danette - After I posted I went back and read your commentary and then I remembered AnaZad's extensive posts of the Chihuly sculptures, though more colorful, and I realized that that was what those things that look like new growth were. I know that there are varieties of plants that have rather large leaves. The largest in my area is skunk cabbage. What threw me were the "sculptures" that look like new growth compared to the leaves. Northern eyes had nothing to do with it. It was Spock eyes that said this was illogical. Believe me, I have seen plenty of large leafed plants in Southeast Asia! :-)
