I have been away for a mere 17 days (oh, but I've been happily stalking you all!). It's the seventh of February, and I have decided I'll try to make it back here as much as I can. I'll be writing a new profile as I did for Year One and Year Two, but I'm not committing to a 365 experience--thus, the new album! If you would like to see what I did in my first two years, check out "365 and Beyond." http://365project.org/darylo/365/2015-01-21
By making this bold move to put my photos here, I'm committing to perpetual ACE status, which is more than fine and worth the money!
This year is solely about learning how to use my brand new camera, a 7D Mark II. It was my 50th birthday present, and I'm practicing to use it for my 50.5 celebration in both Tokyo and Bali in June. I have a bucket list item to cross off my list--a surfing lesson. Fortunately, I have places to stay and those many years of charging everything to the credit card bought me the tickets I needed. So, it does pay to get a miles award credit card--even if it takes 15+ years! :)
I hate I missed your birthday I was going to remember and it slipped by me! Thrilled for your vacation this summer sounds like it will be so exciting and I am expecting tons of amazing photos from that!
good to see your back Daryl! Just read your new profile and am excited to follow you on your journey in this new year with exploring that awesome new camera!! This is a beautiful shot to start the year with. I love the lines and cubes! fabulous piece of art! fav!
Wonderful capture always admire your shots so inspirational. How do you like you new camera. I'm trying decide between full frame the 5d mark iii or the 7d mark ii (crop sensor i know) and would love to hear your opinions and did you go through the same dilemma? Hope you don't mind me asking. Happy belated 50th birthday. @darylo
