Went to Orlando for the band competition for our middle school. The first day, I took a little pocket waterproof camera, but day two, I took out my old rebel and used my new camera's 18-135 to see what "touring" would look like for my summer trip to Bali and Japan. It worked well. Didn't use my new backpack, but overall, pleased with the ability to carry a load each day. Walked over 10 miles each day. Quite exhausted.
@ericdibosco I doubt I'll ever have the opportunity I have this summer ever again. I'm not going to haul everything all the time, but it will be available all the time! Practicing beforehand has been a good thing so I use my time wisely and put the camera down to really enjoy the whole experience! I'm so excited! @888rachel so true! I'm even taking my waterproof point and shoot and a Nikon point and shoot.
