Americans--Ugh

Part of the fun of a hike at Stone Mountain in Atlanta, GA is seeing all the odd things people carve into the stone. Next to this carving is "Jesus Saves." If Donald Trump gets elected, my husband and I are serious about moving to Canada. I've only said that in jest over the Bush years, but now, we're serious. Tired of ignorance. In Stone Mountain too, there is the continuing battle over the Confederate flags on display everywhere (on the path, the 4 confederate flags are flown--ugh) and there is, of course, the carvings on the face of the mountain of the confederate "heroes." Anyway.... "Marx = idiot" Yeah...

This conveys so much culturally...and sad to think about what's going on at Stone Mountain. I remember climbing that years ago and don't remember flags or carvings with this kind of message.
