In one week, I've been to a medical facility for one thing or another--tired. Tonight was a date with Beau in Radiology for an MRI of my abdomen. He told me it was one of the hardest to image but I did it like a champ. Takes normally and hour to an hour and a half. I did it in 45 minutes. He showed me the images (650 some odd images). I have a disk, so I might see if I can do an artistic thing with one.
I feel like I don’t have something serious. I sure hope not. I'll just have to wait until I hear from the Doc. But thank you to Beau for letting me go back in the room to get a shot. Had to remind myself not to stand too close to the great big magnet :)
Fabulous shot! My sister had an MRI today too - she was recently diagnosed with MS. I'm sure your results will be favourable. It's good to have the tests done for reassurance!!
Everything crossed for good results Daryl! Those machines do look do scary but how wonderful what they can do with them! Great image! Hope you get good news very soon!
I wish i had a dollar for every time I have been in one of those things over the last two years! It never once occured to me to take a picture of it ! Terrific image. praying for nothing but good results
Oh, dear. These visits are never fun. It sounds as though you handled it like a champ... bringing your camera, and all. Hands clasped for good results. :) On the trivial photography side, I love the industrial nature of the shot, the tones, the reflections and the symmetry. Fav. :) Trivially, I want to see it cropped down to the bottom of the air vent... and this is a small "want." Major kudos for shooting your own MRI machine.
@kwind@pamknowler@grammyn@rosiekerr@danette@jamibann@kwiksilver Thanks all. I can't know anything for sure, but from the images, nothing is screaming out as dire (at least from my brief conversation with the radiology guy). I find this machine fascinating for many reasons. I've had breast MRI's where you must be face down--so this was a totally different experience. I found it odd too that my appt. started at 6pm! Who knew I could spend the dinner hour having an MRI. :)
@amrita21 Thanks Amrita! All IS well. No problems. I apparently have a "fatty" liver, but not the kind due to alcohol, etc. Genetic. Just have to keep an eye on it. :) xoxo
