I was born to cook like this. It's silly to be this giddy about a cooktop but I am. I have two big cast iron pans. Before the renovation, the pan on the right was too big to use on my stove. I could only use it in the oven. Last night, I was able to use both pans, and it was awesome! My new counterspace/island also helped because I had space to chop!! Ahhhhh.
Oh how I wish I'd researched properly before buying our hob. I chose a five piece burner but it's just too narrow so can't use all the burners. This looks fantastic xx
@psychographer I was really going back and forth and now I'm glad we went with the full 6 (although it did mean tearing up our ceiling to do a new gas pipe to fit the thing!). There is no way to really have 6 going (well, I could), but just having that extra depth and width is amazing. The five burner is very nice too--my sis-in-law has one (Wolf) and I love it!
@danette It is the only really good cooking surface. It's so heavy and clunky, but it's a dream to clean, and now I can just store it on the cooktop because there is space and I use it all the time (no need to put it away!). They will love the pan!
