Jackson Street Bridge Photo Lesson

Spent sunset to night working with a Japanese student who is interested in photography. His name is Daiki and he is such a nice person--met him through a family close to us.

Anyway, he wanted to try night photography, so I told him I'd pick him up, take him to the bridge before sundown so we could discuss his camera before coming back later. Then we went downtown and learned some other cool techniques. Finally, we returned to the bridge looking to get cool night trails and a beautiful backdrop of the city. Here is Daiki doing his nighttime work http://365project.org/darylo/album4/2016-10-30 ! I was also able to gift to him my old tripod, so now he's ready to go solo!

Also took photos of other groups who were in zombie gear with their bikes. Will post another time.

@jgpittenger I rarely get time "just for photography" and it was so fun to share what I did know and see it "click" in his head when he realized the functions of aperture, ISO, and shutterspeed. I liked that I could pass on my old tripod to someone who will use it! A great night.
