I love the female birds with their muted tones--see how the American female Robin blends in with the leaves outside my window? Her beau is nearby. We have male/female thrashers, cardinals, eastern towhees, and chicadees in the back yard these days. I think they are all building nests (I know Mrs. Cardinal was today because her beak was full of grass!). This lady Robin just recently arrived. The chickadee continues to go in the new tree house! Wee!
