Tiny Garden by darylo

Tiny Garden

Camera: Samsung S3
Used Samsung camera, processed through Globe Photo, edited in Samsung Photo Editor (just for color really--otherwise, SOOP). Zapped it in an email to here. Just call me cool. :) lol
COOL!
You said to call you that.
I do love it when I can just go all "phone" and email and get it done! With all the gear/lens I have, sometimes it is just relaxing and easier to just take pics with the phone, process on tablet, and email them in! This Tiny Garden came out great! How big is that bowl? Or is it a baby pool? Haha Hard to tell. I have been playing with Tiny Planet app, and have some ideas for photos with it, but have to get out and take the right kinds. Oh, I know you are "ahem!" a droid user, so you accidentally typo-ed on "juliphone" in your tag. hee hee

@espyetta so true! I was trying to make an "alternate tag" with Jul-I-Droid-it or something and then realized that it was hopeless and typed an f in there....typical droidian behavior right? Eye roll. :) I'll fix it though--thanks for the notice. I don't have a tablet, so everything I'm doing is all on phone (apps and all--so view of photo is slightly worse, but luckily, the Samsung S3 has a larger screen!).

@espyetta Oh and bowl is for a household plant but somehow, I cleaned it outside and it stayed there. :)

@darylo Yeah, Samsung rocks that big old screen! My husband loves it for that very reason. It has fun camera settings too...that iphone doesn't have. I am an "on the fencer" at times about Iphone/IPad vs. Droid. Because I am a big "techie" and I don't like how Apple tries to control everything and you cannot just move data (pics, music) freely. But there is alot I do like about Iphone too. And I am used to it, and I have my apps for Kindle and Nook and Audible.com all synched up and working together nicely. So I would be nervous to mess with that. And I have trouble with my husband's phone...trying to find things/do things. It is not as intuitive to me.

@darylo Ha! I love that little bit of "cool clutter" that makes a garden look quaint! You gotta' have that.

OK, you're cool! Cool photo too. Lovely garden. God, I must be the only person in the western hemisphere or the world in general that does NOT use a cell phone!

@kaarina365 Yes, Karin, you the only one. hahahaha! The funny thing is I went from a cell phone with text ability removed to teaching courses online to students in two time zones away and now conducting much of my day for work from a smart phone. I would have NEVER guessed I would do that. But, I know when to put the thing away. Everything has its place. :) We don't even have a landline now...

@darylo We don't have a land line either, which was freaky at first...but now I never even think of it.

@darylo I guess it's too late to call myself a Luddite because I'm pretty sure a DSLR doesn't fit but, for some reason, cell phones just stress me out - but they do take amazing photos. But sometimes I like to be anonymous and incognito ... :)

@kaarina365 The irony of my situation is that technology gave me a career where it was dead before--couldn't get a job teaching face-to-face. I can also be a stay-at-home mom and have a career that allows me to travel with them -- as long as there is wifi. It's so weird that three years ago, my life completely changed in this way. I get what you mean about the stress, though. As with anything I take on, it has its place. The cell phone stays in my pocket when I'm with others, at a meal, having down time (then it's not in my pocket at all). I have to be careful with the camera (the real one) too--people are feeling lately like I have it with me all the time and it's stressing them out! :)

cool shot and cool we both did this kinda shot and both zapped our pics through the interweb via our phones! we don't use a landline either, but the broadband/cable tv providers insist we still pay for one. I much prefer only having the one phone number. apart from when I cant find my bloomin phone!

the only thing I don't like when doing the from phone to 365 thing is you really don't get a good look at your shot before it goes up. bit more luck than judgement, well in my case definitely. especially with my eyesight too haha

Fun processing! You got amazing results!

@darylo just goes to show you that you never know how things will work out. I am so glad that your were able to incorporate teachiing and technology. Sometimes, I don't know whether to describe myself as "retired" or "unemployed". Photography is kind of bridging the gap so far. We'll see what the future brings ...!
