Last attempt at my get-pushed challenge this week from my awesome partner Taffy to create a still-life of 5 items from 5 different rooms.
I used my window as a backdrop intentionally, so I know that the lighting was going to be a challenge; this shot is taken in mono setting on camera (so no color option). I did a bit of a Jesus theme.
On Left, Room #1: Family Room, Honduran Jesus (from my missionary days).
On Left, Room #2: Kitchen, Christmas Tree Cookie Cutter
Center, Room #3: Formal Living Room, Peruvian Nativity Scene ornament (too heavy for tree--and the donkey has lost its head)
Right, Room #4: Front Entry Way, Baby Jesus from my Santa Fe, NM nativity set given to me by my best friend who lived with me out there after college (1988-89). It is one of my most cherished items ever. It's a miracle it has not been damaged yet.
Center, Underneath it all, Room #5: Framed Cuban print from an art exhibition my mother @shunter attended in Cuba. I am the lucky owner of 10 of these very different prints from the show she attended. This print is of a fluorescent tube of a lamp--ILLUMINATION!
Very creative Daryl..awesome for the push! Thanks for your support and picking my creamers for the vote last week! That was an awesome surprise and very kind as I wind down here!:)
@nanderson I loved that collage/montage--it really responded to the push so well and I loved the center one. I think it was a difficult challenge, executed to perfection! :) Gosh, so many of us getting near the end! :)
Fantastic, Daryl. I love how creatively you responded to this challenge. This one especially is stunning in the bw choice and backlighting. Great combo!
