Ah, snow. Glorious Snow! Our schools did not call early dismissal early enough and many students were stranded at school (and are likely spending the night tonight). My kids walk home from school, so we had no problems. It's freezing out there and the roads are frozen solid.
I went out with my tripod, my new Sigma nifty-fifty, and the light caught my eye with the sewer plate in the middle of the road. Today was a photography heaven day (lots of birds, lots of snow, and a date with my tripod at night).
@lisatown It's actually a 35mm prime lens for a full-frame camera, but it works as a nifty fifty on my Canon crop sensor camera! When I upgrade someday, I'll have a full-frame 35 (not sure I like that, though). haha
@juliedduncan Yes, it was a complete and utter Atlanta disaster as we can only do. We cancel school when the weather is cold but no snow and we don't until it's too late when snow is forecasted, but we do nothing. Such is the way of the South. Never ask why...
This is really a think-out-of-the-box type of photo. It works well as a graphic image, and even better when the viewer takes the time to analyze it. Fav.
@rvwalker Thanks very much Ross. I was very pleased with this one and almost made it the 365 shot. I edited it some and I am not sure I should have cropped as much, but otherwise, I really thought it was a different "snow" shot. :)
