Well, I woke up at 2:30 am to gather myself before taking my daughter to the airport for her big Japan trip #1 for the summer. For the record, I did not cry. A miracle really, but maybe my nerves finally said, "you and I are ready."
As I drove home, I thought I would stop on the bridge over the Chattahoochee River to see if I could catch the sunrise. I have one shot of the river (with ducks or geese below) and then I saw that the sun was further to the east so I thought I would either go for some light trails as morning traffic came. I'm leaning out of my car window safely here (although I did dare to exit the car for the river shot). I caught two trucks with nice metal siding that reflected the sunrise! It was a bit of a thrill, and appropriate for the Month of Joy in June.
Fav! This is amazing! I had once thought of trying something like this when I had gotten Slow Shutter app, and one morning from the car, I took a pic of a semi going by the trailer "spread" out long like this and was pretty colors. But wow. This is the bomb! Now I needn't bother! haha
Awesome shot Daryl, fabulous and magic. Fav.
By the way daughter will be fine, Dani, did her middle year at Uni over in Sydney, Australia and had a ball. Travelled all over, and managed visits to Thailand and New Zealand too.
Being married to a trucker, I find this especially beautiful. He is constantly sending me photos of the sunrises. I'm going to show this to him. Hope your girl has a great trip! :)
Wow! This is terrific! Love the light trails and reflections. FAV!!
Congrats on not crying at the airport. I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience for your daughter! Hope she has a fabulous time!
