Using my wide-angle and trying to capture a "landscape" shot. I spent about an hour on top of a parking lot deck trying to capture a cool sunset, then gave up, but I circled around to the school because the sky was projecting some cool color JUST as the sun went down. Saw my husband while I was driving and then he crossed over into the school where I was still driving aimlessly around trying to get a shot--the burbs are really not a good place for a landscape shot.
But then I got an idea. It required me lying on the ground in my dress (hoping no goose poop or creepy crawlies were there) and trying to silhouette my husband and dog against the sky. My wide-angle is all manual, so it's a hit or miss show. So glad I had these shots in the end over the god-awful attempts on the parking deck! Here is the alternate shot: http://365project.org/darylo/365/2014-06-25
I didn't notice this about the other shot, perhaps because the dog is in a different position, but I think the cloud looks like a dog heading in the other direction - nose and paws outstretched!
Oh, this is sweet. The other is more dramatic but this one is the kind that brings back great memories of times together with a canine friend. Just thinking of this as tomorrow is the one year anniversary without Nutmeg. So this shot sort of brought tears to my eyes -- but ones of good memories.
