Oyster Ceviche

My mother outdid herself again for Thanksgiving appetizers.
A lovely capture of this delicious looking dish!

Something I have not tried before.

No I have never tasted this. When I have seen people eating oysters straight from the shell it has put me off trying them.

@kwiksilver It's VERY easy and it is so flavorful. Just take the oysters and some of the juice it's already in, add fresh lime juice, some dashes of olive oil, cut up Vidalia (or sweet) onion, grape tomatoes, and fresh cilantro. Add and let "cook" with the lime juice. We also add in ground coriander. I'm still a sucker for oysters.

@grammyn It's in some crystal that my grandmother had (very small dainty glasses--not sure what they were for (drinkwise)). I love how pretty it all is.

@darylo Thanks Daryl! I'm just not sure I'd be able to resist eating the oysters from the shell long enough to let them "cook"! :)

@darylo they may have been dessert dishes! It's all in the presentation isn't it?!
