I caught this young mother with her youngster this morning. You can't miss the babies because all they do is squawk for food when parents are around. I love having our resident Magpies, we have the same pair nest and rear young every year. It's wonderful!!!

Thanks Jenny! It has really dried out in the last 6 weeks or so, we have had some pretty hot spells and no rain to speak of. We're on 5 acres so we don't have green lawn, I wish we did.

Ours aren't quite that tame but they let us get fairly close so they trust us, plus don't swoop in nesting season.
