I caught this young Amish couple out for an evening stroll, apparently Dad wanted to check out the construction. I was surprised to see this Father in flip flops. It's something you don't see too often, after all, that's a bit too worldly.
What a GREAT catch! Flip flops! haha And the composition of this is great. I saw Amish in the movie Kingpin, and they dressed just like this...BRIGHTLy colored shirts, but black pants and jumpers. I thought the bright colors were fake, for the movie. But turns out, they do wear these!
I thought he should have a black hat. We went to Pennsylvania a couple of years ago. Maybe they are Mennonite rather than Amish. Anyway its a great shot and a fav fro me
The orange cones are worldly too. This is a fantastic capture in cultural contradiction. Not to get academic on you...I'm a sociologist living in PA after all :)
