OMG..learned something new..here I'm complaining that it's too hot out there at 95 degree F. when this poor squirrel is trying to survive 115 degrees. no wonder it's melting. someone should tell him to put his feet in the bowl to cool down, but he has his own idea of doing so. wonderful find Allison.

I love the squirrels at our park so much and post many photos of them. It has been hot here but not 115. Today it cooled to the 80's with a breeze and a bit of rain after some hot weather, in the low 100's. Today there were ground squirrels but no squirrels anywhere else. We are wondering where they have all gone. The ducks and geese are in and out of the lake but not even one siting of a tree squirrel. Thanks for posting this, Allison. I sure feel for the critters and people that have to deal with the heat this year.
