Hello good people of 365...
If anyone has Facebook please Like my new page, I have created it for friends/family who are not on this site but if you follow me on here and have Facebook you know what to do...
A little self promotion but hey i'm worth it...
@boycotting Thanks for liking the page. You liked it from your page. I see the "like" on your page, but it does not show up as a "like" on my stats. I wonder why? I have so much more to learn about Facebook pages.
@nadaa i'm really not sure.. :| i think maybe because i didnt do it as a business.. as i did as a community because i'm not a buisness yet? :| i'm really not sure
@boycotting I have been doing the page likes from my personal timeline not my page, and people reciprocating that way are showing up in my stats by name. Wonder if that is the difference. Like by a page v. like by a person?
@boycotting I think the reason your likes aren't showing up are because you are liking them from your photography page, not your personal page. But thank you for the like anyway! :)
Hi just a question out of curiosity - regarding your Facebook pages are you a photographer who does it for a living? or a hobby? extra cash? or use it for friends and family?
Do you have your own websites? Blogs? or just find FB easier? Cheaper etc?
@lbjefferies I do it for extra cash, friends and family, and a hobby. I'm working on a website but I do find Facebook a lot easier. Mainly because of the fact that a lot of people that I know already use facebook, and will look at my pictures when I post them on facebook. rather than me posting them on flickr and them never giving them a second thought
@lbjefferies I have a blog that I have started a page for on Facebook because so many people I know already use Facebook, and they can see my stuff when I put it on Facebook. So, I post to the blog and then link the blog to Facebook.
@lbjefferies For me, it's a business, but I also have a regular full-time job. My hope is to grow it enough that eventually I can do that full-time but that won't be for a while. I do have a regular webpage as well. Nothing fancy, but here it is if you'd like to see: http://www.storybookphotographybystacy.com/
Thanks for the reply and hope you didnt find it too intrusive.
@istacy1011 Lovely images on your website Stacy and love the idea of the different size views, can I make a small criticism I didnt like the tumbnail layout on the sides as they detract from the slickness of the your sightm the fact you lose the smooth grid type functionality of the rest of you site. Appreciate you said nothing fancy but think the alignment there detracts from the quality of it. God I feel terrible writing that; but genuinely meant with good intentions. eek!
@lbjefferies Nothing to feel bad about at all! I apprecaite the feedback. It's been a while since I worked on it (really needs to be updated) but I think that was one of the things I was trying to fix. I'm not that great with website design and it wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. I finally got sick of messing with it and just gave up. Just for giggles, this was actually my picture of the day when I was working on it back in August. My expression is solely from it NOT doing what I wanted it to do, lol!
Anyway, I'll have to try again to see what I can do with it. Thank you again! :)
@istacy1011 lol that's a great image! Web Design does that to you, I have to teach it to 11-16 year olds! PS I would change your buttons too :p didnt want to add that in the post above lol - I promise I'll stop now :)
@lbjefferies I started out on facebook when I was teaching. It was recommended by counselors after a student committed suicide as a way of tracking our other students' emotional health after the trauma of loss. After I finished teaching it became a way to keep in touch with students and family and friends. I'm not a professional photographer and don't post many of my shots there- I'm on 365 more. Sometimes the FB feeds are just silly chit chat and I find the support here more uplifting. But I can see its advantages for networking if you are a pro or aspiring to go that route.
@lbjefferies I don't have a facebook page for my photography at this time. I don't feel my skill level is where it should be to put myself out there like that.

I liked your pages. I don't have a photography page on Facebook, but I also write a blog about books and that is on Facebook. Please consider "liking" that. I would appreciate it.
