Diffusion panels are great ways to get beautiful soft light from almost any source. Commercial diffusion panels like the Photoflex LitePanels can be really expensive, $350 is close to what you can expect to pay for a nice commercial product like that. But if you are like me and don’t have $350 laying around for what is essentially a big frame with diffusion cloth attached then this DIY build is perfect for you.
Kevin Kubota has this really awesome DIY LitePanel stand that you can make at home yourself for only $20 or so. The best part is that this is not just some idea that someone put together for a DIY tutorial, this is a DIY build that Kevin uses himself on a regular basis – so you know its quality and will work well.
