It would seem that the author never had "fun" and was always in angst shooting film. Shooting digital with a good camera (and lens) would seem to bring back the fun he talks about never having. There are several posts there about limitations of a camera phone vis a vis a "real" digital camera, and it might be good for him to checkout out this http://365project.org/discuss/general/18272/55-reasons-why-your-photos-aren-t-working for all the technology reasons for the extreme limitations of a camera phone.

@frankhymus perhaps the author wrote it too much from the view of anxiety and needing some analysis. Reminds me of Woody Allen. I like it. Latent image anxiety. Should fit nicely into the DSM-V when it is released. But I am more interested in exploring it as a full blown disorder.

@frankhymus I think you missed the point. He wasn't saying that the iphone is better than a "real" digital camera, he is saying that it is quick, easy and the quality is perfect for sharing images that will be view on a phone or tablet. Also, with instragram and other social media sites there is no need to print the photos they can be shared instantly with others. And that it was a way to have "fun" with photography and bring it to the masses.
