There are only two photos there I can understand the price tag on, and that's because of their age!!!!!!!!! Billy the Kid and the picture from 1904.... Otherwise it looks like a bunch of crap to me...
Ah that Rhine image makes my blood boil! Having studied with the OCA they encourage me to look at s**t like this .. and yet if I had handed in an image like that as part of an assignment they would have slated me! And don't get me started on Cindy Sherman .... and as for the Turner prize .... I see much better work on here everyday ... I shall shut up now lol
@fueast but did you realise that Gursky had manipulated that image beyond recognition? Originally there were dog walkers and all sorts in it, he cloned them out. It's easy to straighten lines ... But your image is far more interesting than his ... Shouldn't a photo lead the eye, tell a story or just be interesting?

@steampowered Vastly improved I feel. To be honest - why not? - it wasn't even a real photo in the first place - Gursky photoshopped features out of it, to give it give that minimalistic look.

harder than it looks to get those oh so straight lines.
Thanks for sharing though, this gives me hope.
Assume that the Kid picture was the original, not a reproduction. Okay 1880, that's worth it.
