I love the point she's making. I love the delivery of the point she's making. Reminds me of when I was told, as a single female homeowner, I couldn't make a decision about purchasing siding for my residence without "the man of the house" involved. I told them my son was the only "live-in" male and he was only (then) 6. He didn't care about purchasing siding! They caved.
The vintage look of this captures well the feeling in the 1950s of a traditional family structure and what was 'right' for women. So well done and so creative!
@homeschoolmom I think the reason she did this was to show that she is actually NOT missing out on a "real" family. Not every woman is destined to be, nor wants to be, a mom. She may feel sad that you are "tied down" by a family and are missing out on a life of travel and learning first hand about our wonderful world. "...eye of the beholder." :)
@homeschoolmom Just because she isn't married & doesn't have kids doesn't mean she is "missing out". I have neither and am not missing anything I want to have. And I totally understand her point. It's a really tiresome question.
